Job Description

The Tennis Shop Attendant is responsible for daily operations in the Pro Shop, while attending to the needs of Guests and Members using the Fitness Center, Lap Pool and Tennis Facilities. Of primary importance is providing a high level of guest service and interaction. This position reports directly to the General Manager.


  • Welcomes guests, explains Recreation offerings such as activities and programs, shows guests how to use the equipment and enrolls guests in classes
  • Promotes and sells membership
  • Maintains tennis court reservation book, logs retail sales, makes sure rules and regulations are enforced in a tactful manner
  • Cashiering duties as needed for transactions, basic computer skills required
  • Inventory count and reconciliation
  • Reports incidents and resolves complaints, using the proper channels with management
  • Is timely and punctual when reporting to work
  • Attend all scheduled training and meetings as required
  • Meet with supervisor on an established basis
  • Ensure the desk and surrounding area is safe, clean and orderly
  • Contributes content to Membership Newsletter
  • Maintains confidentiality of Member/Guest/Resort information
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School diploma or GED
  • C.P.R. / First Aid certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • At least 6 months of experience working at a multi-recreational facility in sports/recreation programming
  • A strong work ethic

  • Adaptable and flexible under stressful and/or unusual situations
  • Must exhibit organizational and time management skills

  • This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Normal work hours: varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
