SENIOR MANAGER, COLLECTIONS
Job Summary:
This role will be home-based (Full Time Remote) with travel for occasional meetings to the DC or NYC area. Ideally, location will be Northeast, Southeast or Midwest.
The Senior Manager of Collections will lead the collections function for Arch Amenities Group (AAG). The incumbent of the role will design and lead a process that maximizes cash collection by maintaining strong internal controls, limiting credit risk, proactively collecting receivables within contracted terms, and maintaining aged receivables to a minimum.
Additional responsibilities include providing guidance to leaders on future financial plans, investigating ways to improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), profitability and analyze markets for business opportunities and driving financial infrastructure projects which simplify, automate, and standardize our processes while generating accurate and timely data.
The Senior Manager will manage a team of professionals tasked with preparing monthly and quarterly management reports and carrying out strategic data analysis.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide oversight to all processes designed to collect on all billings in alignment with contracted terms.
- Design programs with particular emphasis on early-stage collection that focus on communication with clients and proactive outreach in order to collect cash in accordance with payment terms.
- Create reports on all aged receivables and ensure they are communicated to senior leadership with action plans to collect.
- Manages client issue resolution and escalation processes.
- Acts as a primary resource for clients and internal leadership to resolve all billing disputes and issues.
- Partners with all other finance and accounting functions to resolve any data or billing issues that act as roadblocks to collecting cash.
- Provides leadership to the collections team, designing and optimizing workloads and assignments, managing team output and performance.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Highly proficient in enterprise financial software: Netsuite and ADP.
Must have advanced excel knowledge. - Must have multi-divisional and multi-currency experience.
- Must have experience leading a team of 2+ direct reports as well as the entire collections function.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Capable of communicating effectively and in a timely manner with stakeholders and leadership team.
- Demonstrated experience in complex problem solving and designing process workflow.
- Problem solver that drives outcomes, process improvement and organizational change. Covering all aspects of ideation through execution.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Must have 10+ years of progressive collections management experience, 5 of which in a leadership role in an environment with work volume in the range of 400+ active accounts 3000+ volume of monthly invoices.
