Overview

LifeStart, in partnership with WTS International, one of the world's leading spa and fitness management firms, is seeking a National Events & Engagement Director in Chicago!

The National Events & Engagement Director is a dynamic leader with the passion for member/tenant/guest experience and the drive to get the details right. Ambition and drive are key for this role. The National Events & Engagement Director is responsible for analysis, oversight and support of events, marketing and hospitality for buildings around the country. This person will manage a team of engagement managers around the country. Must quickly adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks as priorities are realigned, including new building requests for proposal, ideation for events around the country, analysis of building operations and marketing & more. Due to the support nature of this role and the exposure to the executive level of leadership, the ideal candidate will combine their ability to articulate issues at the highest level and their ability to coach and train.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Engagement Managers across the country
  • Assist with the creation and execution of monthly calendar of events, activations, and programs in collaboration with Engagement Managers and Regional Engagement Managers
  • Provide support and assistance with third party vendors, including contract negotiations, preferred vendor list, and ideation
  • Communicate both verbally and written with all level of associates and clients across each real estate company in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by clients to then develop an intricate solution to resolve the concern quickly
  • Monitor the work of engagement managers through weekly hospitality team meetings, and bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with each member
  • Work with property management teams and draft realistic budgets and deliver events in line with these, communicating all financial details to the accounts team in a timely manner and ensuring budgets are correctly reconciled post event
  • Develop and establish procedures and best practices for hospitality and events, including staffing requirements, vendor needs, customer service and more
  • Lead by example, including a hands-on approach to event management, and supporting the engagement specialists in any way possible
  • Liaison with Rise Buildings from development through management of building apps, including gathering necessary building information, creative pieces, and attending meetings as needed
  • Assist various buildings around the country with event ideation, marketing, budgets and any hospitality needs
  • Create, develop and deliver Hospitality Training for entire company
  • Create visual concepts for social media, email, website, and app through Canva for promotional materials, events, and more
  • Set up and run e-mail campaign and database within Constant Contact
  • Utilize partner relationships to further develop virtual programming through online experiences hosted via Virtual Platform, LifeStart on Demand
  • Work with fellow Directors to create and assist with events in fitness centers across the country as needed
  • Work with Director of Clinical Services to update LifeStart on Demand, hosted through Squarespace
  • Develop and post on Social Media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Formulate, write and develop Requests for Proposal for various new business alongside Chief Growth Officer


Qualifications

Following is a list of pre-requisites needed to ensure successful job performance:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced degree, certification, licensing - N/A, Notary preferred
  • At least 8-10 years experience in a specific job or field - Marketing, Hospitality, Events
  • Technology proficiency - Microsoft Office, Canva, Email Software, Salesforce, Monday
  • Competencies, behaviors, and characteristics -
    • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of LifeStart, management company, event specifics & amenity information
    • Uses his/her judgment to integrate current trends in event, amenity and fitness management
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
    • Growing our amenity, fitness and wellness fan base at said location
    • Streamlining and creating standardized processes wherever possible
    • Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
    • Ability to Multi-tasking and prioritize
    • Excellent Initiative & follow through skills

    • Knowledge of real estate industry is a plus
