Pongo Power is hiring in-person and virtual NASM Certified Personal Trainers!

Founded in 2007, Pongo Power offers one-on-one personal training online via Zoom; in-person, at our Park Slope studio; in at-home private gyms and outdoors. We also offer online, semi-private group fitness via Zoom.

Job Description:

At Pongo Power, our program design is based upon the fundamental principles of movement and sports science. As a Pongo Power Personal Trainer, you will implement science-based exercise program design for a variety of clients.


Our team works in collaboration with one another: this means consulting verbally, and in writing, about the clients’ progress, utilizing exercise and sports-specific terminology. You will be mastering the knowledge that is necessary to be an elite trainer regarding anatomy, physiology, metabolic conditioning, and movement science.


You’ll be working in a variety of environments: in-person, outdoors, and on Zoom!


Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Learn the foundation of the Pongo Power Personal Training Methodology (which is based on the core principles of NASM).

  • Learn and utilize Pongo Power's sales techniques, and meet monthly sales goals.

  • Maintain the studio’s appearance through light daily cleaning and monitoring of equipment.

  • Commit to a minimum of a 15 hour per week schedule that is created based on both the studio’s needs and your availability.

  • Collaborate with your fellow trainers on exercise science and programming.

  • Contribute to Pongo Power's social media platforms.


Pay Description:

  • Competitive commission rates for Personal Training (30%-40%; $30-$65 per session on average).

  • $25 for Personal Training Clients during onboarding

  • $15 for non-Personal Training time dedicated to reaching out to new and existing clients and collaboration with other trainers.
