Job Description
Overview

Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Membership Associate for a fitness and wellness facility in Washington, PA. The Membership Associate is responsible for establishing, marketing and growing prospects and lead generation for new member sales all while maintaining a quality membership base for the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and sell memberships.
  • Marketing membership and services and responsible for delivery of monthly newsletter and corporate materials.
  • Attend all events and expos possible to promote corporate members and services.
  • Design, delivery and management of cutting edge corporate wellness and nutrition programs that excite and encourage members to participate in a safe environment.
  • Recruit and hire creative, enthusiastic and educated instructors to lead a variety of classes/lectures
  • Develop Corporate Wellness programs with outside companies and organizations
  • Coach and Supervise Nutrition department
  • Expand Nutrition department both with Center members and with outreach to the community
  • Meet budgeted department goals for sales in corporate membership and programs and continually strive to develop revenue generating opportunities
  • Proactively communicate all corporate events and schedule changes to internal team as well as members.
  • Ensure legendary customer service, spotless club environment and friendly, knowledgeable team
  • Set the service example by greeting members and clients in a friendly manner
  • Resolve member and employee issues in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform payroll calculations and payroll submittal
  • Order equipment and supplies within budget
  • Maintain current professional certifications, and CPR/AED and First Aid certifications for self and team
  • Be knowledgeable about and promote all programs and activities offered by the Center.
  • Considering the nature of the position, additional hours may be required for completion of a job, as well as being on call for any emergencies.
  • Assist Center management or any authorized personnel requesting assistance with any task related to the Center.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Community C.P.R. certification
  • Standard First Aid certification
  • At least 6 months of experience working at a multi-recreational facility in sports/recreation programming.
  • Sales experience in a wellness facility highly preferred.
  • Effective leadership, promotional and management skills with a strong work ethic
  • Possess the ability to prospect new members
  • Possess effective verbal/written communication and expression.
  • Good listening skills with the ability to show empathy.
  • Adaptable and flexible under stressful and/or unusual situations.
  • Must exhibit organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Able to show initiative and make decisions
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards job and facility.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot and anticipate problems.

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
  • This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Normal work hours: varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
