Massage Therapist - The HIIT Factor Larchmere

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for performing therapeutic massages to alleviate pain, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, help to heal injuries, and aid in the general wellness recovery of clients.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Guide clients through service offerings while helping them choose massages that would benefit them

• Conduct massage sessions according to the studio appointment schedule (30-60 min increments)

• Evaluate clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion

• Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries or wellness maintenance

• Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used ongoing

• Consult with clients about their medical histories and any problems with stress and/or pain in order to determine whether massage would be helpful

• Prepare and blend oils, and apply the blends to clients' skin

• Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to work in an environment with moderate to low noise and low-level lighting.

• Physical activities include: walking, pushing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, handling, lifting, and excessive motion with arms & hands. 

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
