Overview

WTS International, one of the world's leading spa and fitness consulting and management firms, is hiring a Manager-on-Duty/Lead PTin Alexandria, VA.

The Manager-on-Duty/Lead PT under the direction of the Director of Recreation, supervises the Kingstowne Residential Owners Corporation facility. Supervision includes ensuring all staff and members are adhering to facility rules and policies, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Ensures the "WTS Experience" for residents and guest by maintaining the standards set in WTS' Basics to Excellence (BTE), WTS' Mission Statement/Values; Standards and Expectations, and WTS' Brand Standards
  • Adheres to policies of the facility and WTS International
  • Support front desk with transactions, phone calls and other items
  • Ensure all facility signage is current and neat
  • Knowledgeable of facility programming and schedules
  • Record incidents/accidents and report as necessary
  • Provides members with current policies and information
  • Assists Director of Recreation with events
  • Provide back-up coverage for the Director of Recreation when they are not in the club for an extended period of time.
  • Supports pool staff on the weekends
  • Assists Director of Recreation with team member scheduling
  • Assists Director of Recreation with payroll
    Oversees the personal training program
  • Consistently look for opportunities to gain new clients and elevate/grow the personal training program
  • Other items as assigned


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Proficient in appropriate computer skills and office equipment
  • College degree in physical education or related field preferred
  • Certification from a nationally recognized agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and NSPA
  • Current first aid, CPR, and other safety certifications when required by the client
  • Ability to demonstrate equipment use for exercise training
  • Must be able to lift 45-pound weight plates
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
  • This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Normal work hours: Varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
