Overview
Worldgate Athletic Club & Spa and Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Gym Kids Club Associate for Worldgate Athletic Club in Herndon, VA. The Gym Kids Club Associate provides best-in-class fitness-minded children's engagement and programming. They will be assisting with the operation of the facility nursery and or child care. The Gym Kids Club Associate will organize and implement engaging safe, fun, and entertaining activities and games for children between the ages of three months to 11 years. This position requires continuous supervision of children and initiation of fun activities as well as making sure the nursery is clean and organized at all times.

Responsibilities
Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy
Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
Engages children in interactive activities that include storytelling, organized arts and crafts, singing, and games in the Kids Club
Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to the toys, sports equipment, other children, and surroundings
Maintains the Kids Club and other program areas by following the cleaning checklist and performing assigned tasks
Promotes kprograms, products and services
Maintain daily open communication with parents
Maintain confidentiality
Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
Maintain a safe and healthy environment by keeping the facility clean and orderly
Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
Attend in-service training and staff meetings
Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets.
Is timely and punctual when reporting to work
Monitor the health of the children
Work scheduled hours.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Previous experience working with children
• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
• Clear criminal record check
• Valid C.P.R. certification
• Valid Standard First Aid Certification
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards job and facility
• Consistently exhibit team spirit promoting a productive environment
• Maintain a character of professionalism and confidence, with a tactful ability to communicate with parents
• Demonstrate a genuine love and care for children
• Demonstrate the ability to cooperate and work with others

• This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
• The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Normal work hours: varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
