Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of one-year group exercise teaching experience desired
Certifications/Memberships: Must hold current national group fitness or personal training certification, in addition to specialty licenses for formats taught. Other professional certifications and/or active membership in a professional association desirable.
He/she must possess excellent interpersonal, creative, leadership, organizational, programmatic, and practical fitness skills
He/she must be capable of professional and personal interaction with a variety of Health Professionals and community members
He/she must be actively involved in new industry trends, programs, and research to keep Smithfield Fitness Club programming on the cutting edge.
He/ she maintains a current CPR/AED certification and for underwriting the cost of this certification throughout employment.

Individuals must be physically capable, sufficiently strong enough, and mobile to lead classes and demonstrate activities

Possess knowledge and skills with computers and software (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Possess the ability to learn additional software and systems required for business transactions
Possess knowledge of and ability to apply Americans with Disabilities Act to business situations.
Possess reading, writing, speaking and understanding English language.
Be able and willing to work a varied schedule including some nights and weekends as required.
Ability to execute the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
