Group Fitness Coordinator

General Summary: The Group Fitness Coordinator develops and directs a comprehensive program of group fitness classes for the club. Recruits, hires, motivates, and evaluates of all group fitness instructors. The coordinator solicits, listens to and responds to feedback in relation to the scheduling of classes (formal type, level, time), the instruction given (clear, concise, safe, effective, relative information), and the environment provided (cleanliness, friendliness, personal attention, encouragement).
Qualifications: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent with a Bachelors degree desired. At least one national group exercise certification such as AFA, ACE, AEA, ACSM, and current CPR and First Aid Certifications. Preferable minimum of one year Group Fitness Coordinator experience. Previous management or supervisory experience desired. Must have group fitness teaching experience. Excellent interpersonal, management, leadership, organizational, programming, and practical fitness skills essential.
