Bodyworks Family Sports Centers are looking for career minded, sales focused managers interested in rapid career growth. The first Bodyworks location opened in 1992. Bodyworks is a regional multi purpose fitness center chain which has five current locations and is in the midst of an aggressive growth plan.
Job Description: GENERAL MANAGER

Purpose and Scope:To lead a profitable club with honesty and integrity, upholding the mission statement and Guiding Principles of Bodyworks; to exceed all personal and club sales quotas; to inspect what is expected; and to create WOW moments for members, guests, and other team members.
Areas of Responsibility:
Excel in Personal Sales by exceeding sales goals, personally handling potential renewals, and following the Standards of Performance for membership consultants.
Increase Club Production by working closely with sales staff, enforcing T/O policy and mandating use of Individual Fitness History Sheets.
Oversee and role model proper execution of daily appointments
Adapt a constant recruitment attitude, interviewing at least two people per week
Train and coach staff with daily meetings, performance contracts, praising and reprimanding where needed, anticipating and addressing problems in a timely manner
Inspect the Guest Register, Appointment Book, Future Appointment Book, Lead Box Book, and telephone Inquiry Book daily, and keep the Manager Production Book updated in your office at all times.
Start each day with a facility walk through, delegating needed work/attention immediately; maintain a Facility Maintenance Log at the front desk
Have front desk do hourly locker room checks
Meet with the Office Manager daily to discuss unacceptable paper work, resolve cancellation and member account issues, and monitor 3-day and 30-day cancellations, and NSFs and declined credit card charges (Handle medical and relocation cancellations in office managers absence)
Oversee each team and team leader in your club (personal training, front desk, maintenance/cleaning, Kids Club, Group Exercise, and business office) holding meetings with each supervisor weekly
Service our members through properly addressed personal thank you cards, Missed Guest Cards, proper use of new member follow-up sheets, closely watching the Member Inquiry Log in order to handle member questions, complaints and cancellation requests daily.
Service our members by immediately inviting any frustrated or upset member into your office for problem resolution.
Work diligently to ensure member referral awards are given in a timely manner.
