Job Description
The Fitness Center Desk Attendant is responsible for welcoming all members, guest and prospects into the club.

*Shifts required:
Tuesday/Thursday: 5:30am-12:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Greet members by name and with a smile and create "First Impression" for the club; Check in, welcome and ensure that members and guests have a safe and enjoyable experience
  • Answer incoming calls and direct calls accordingly in professional manner and in accordance with the Fitness Center greeting script
  • Maintain the weight and cardiovascular fitness areas ensuring equipment is clean, functioning properly and used according to guidelines of the facility
  • Execute all duties relating to Locker & Laundry Service
  • Ensure members and guests are aware of all programming, activities and events available
  • Maintain attendance records and ensure all members and guests have registered for the facility
  • Assist in promoting the Fitness Center and organize special events as required
  • Ensure the Fitness Center is clean and well maintained
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Handle member questions and concerns in addition to performing tasks related to: Membership,
  • Marketing, Programming, Locker & Laundry and Operations
  • Perform opening and closing functions regarding the front desk; Adhere to assigned schedule and task checklist as closely as possible
  • Attend required meetings and complete other duties as assigned
  • Sort, launder, fold towels & launder personal items
  • Keep club areas, rest rooms, corridors cleaned

  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of previous customer service, hospitality, retail (or related industry)
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrate initiative and strong work ethic; Highly responsible and reliable
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Passionate about the health and fitness industry
