Job Description
The Climbing Wall Supervisor is responsible to develop, coordinate, promote, recruit, hire, train and oversee the entire Climbing Wall program and financials. To increase both member and non-member revenue and retention. Sell Climbing Wall packages/sessions and programs to contribute to the revenue of the Fitness Department. Provide a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for climbers and continually motivate instructors and staff through training and education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Increase and build Climbing Wall revenue while controlling expenses
  • Increase net revenue of each climbing wall program; focus on having each revenue source outperform budgeted goals
  • Promote Climbing Wall as a business within the facility. Work closely with Fitness Director to coordinate sales promotions and events
  • Control expenses within budget

  • Minimum of 3 years outdoor climbing experience & 2 years of indoor
  • Minimum 1 year of previous supervisory experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in maintaining and developing new revenue sources
  • Proficient in 'customer service' and follow up
  • Proficient in setting climbing routes
  • Provide a safe, clean and organized Climbing Wall area
  • Create an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants
  • Ensure staff initiates, develops and maintains positive relationships with participants
  • Fine attention to detail, professionalism, and dependability
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Promote FFC University Classes
