Job Description

The purpose of the position is to provide primary leadership, oversight and direction in the management and day-to-day operations for a diverse and complex portfolio of critical Recreation Department programs and services including the Competitive Sports Program (Intramurals and Sport Clubs), Outdoor Programs, Youth, FitWell (Fitness and Cooking), and Aquatics; incumbent is also responsible for the supervision of the facilities associated with each program. The incumbent is responsible for the oversight of career staff and student development, training and risk management for these programs, services and facilities and importantly, is accountable for the overall performance of the program portfolio. Management of an annual budget of approximately $1,000,000. A critical skill required for this position is the ability to provide innovation and creativity to expand each program's reach.
